Maincore

Engineered using world-class technology, Maincore Structured Wall PVC-U Sewer Pipes offer an innovative and practical pipe solution to meet the challenges of the sewer reticulation industry. Its light weight and non-corrosive properties make it an environmentally-friendly and affordable choice for sewer applications.

 

The smooth outer and inner surfaces of the pipe wall are manufactured from PVC-U material, this makes the pipe completely resistant to chemicals and gasses typically found in sewerage as well as impervious to external attack from acidic and alkaline soils. The central “core” of the wall consists either of foamed or reworked PVC-U which gives the pipe its 400kPA pipe stiffness. All standard sewer and drain fittings can be used with Maincore and there is no need for any other special sealing systems.

 

Maincore pipe is resistant to abrasion and scouring. If necessary Maincore sewer pipes can be cleaned by rodding or water jetting without damage, provided the cleaning operation is done correctly. The PVC-U material used in manufacture is non-tainting which means that Maincore is ideal for use in environmentally sensitive areas.

Installation of Maincore sewer pipes can be accomplished quickly and effectively. Features include:

  • Integral joint with Z-LOK seals
  • Use of normal wood working tools for cutting and chamfering
  • Light weight, making the use of heavy lifting equipment redundant
  • Adaptable to all traditional materials using standard adaptors

The manufacturing process of Maincore offers the quality of a solid-wall sewer pipe made to SABS 791-2013 specifications and the cost-saving features of a structured wall sewer pipe manufactured to SABS 1601-2013 specifications.
