Marley takes pride in the production of our products, including the Dragline hose, and ensures that we always deliver high quality that won’t let the end user down.
It has come to our attention that a competitor has been using the longitudinal blue stripe that is the well-known trademark for our Dragline hoses. We have launched trademark infringement proceedings in the High Court in order to stop this unlawful action.
Marley is the registered proprietor of the following trademarks in relation to, inter alia, hoses:
- 2004/00404 Design (with blue stripe)
- 1983/05368 Design (with stripe)
- 2004/00401 Design (with orange stripe)
- 2004/00402 Design (with white stripe)
- 2004/00403 Design (with green stripe)
Marley Pipe Systems, and previously Petzetakis, has been making extensive use of the longitudinal stripe design in relation to hoses, in particular Dragline hoses, for many years. In that time it has become known to the public as a reflection of our superior quality. It is therefore important to us that this unique design is not copied by our competitors in order to deceive consumers into thinking they’re buying hoses that carry the same value for money as that of Marley Pipe Systems. Please be aware that trading or selling items that infringe on this trademark could hold serious financial risks right through the value chain, even after stock has been sold. We caution resellers and merchants to take care not to put their businesses at risk.
