The smooth outer and inner surfaces of the pipe wall are manufactured from PVC-U material, this makes the pipe completely resistant to chemicals and gasses typically found in sewerage as well as impervious to external attack from acidic and alkaline soils. The central “core” of the wall consists either of foamed or reworked PVC-U which gives the pipe its 400kPA pipe stiffness. All standard sewer and drain fittings can be used with Maincore and there is no need for any other special sealing systems.
Maincore pipe is resistant to abrasion and scouring. If necessary Maincore sewer pipes can be cleaned by rodding or water jetting without damage, provided the cleaning operation is done correctly. The PVC-U material used in manufacture is non-tainting which means that Maincore is ideal for use in environmentally sensitive areas.
